Description:
This was basically a Model 336 that was made for J C Penny and sold under the FOREMOST brand, and this particular version was sold from 1964 until 1968 when J V Penny stopped selling firearms due to the provisions of the Gun Control Act of 1968. They were inexpensive compared to the Marlin and most saw heavy use. This particular 20 inch version is in excellent original condition - blue, stock finish, chamber & bore, and also the branded (Foremost) rifle scope. A worthy addition to any Marlin collection. Since it is over 50 years old it has Curio & Relic status.
