This is a beautiful J. P. Sauer & Sohn 16ga. double barrel shotgun. The gun is in amazing condition and is embellished with elaborate engravings. Numbers match on all parts. It is tight, the action works perfectly. Barrel is Krupp steel. Left barrel choked to .650, right barrel choked to .640. Nitro proven. Bore looks good. Also & Deely boxlock body. Cocking indicaters work perfectly. Sling swivels are in perfect condition. Beautiful walnut stock and forearm with bone butt plate and bone tip on forearm. This gun is all original and in perfect working order. Serial number indicates it was made in the early 1900s. Perhaps between 1917 and 1928?
