Description:
Available for sale is a very good to excellent condition “All Matching” Chilean 1895 Mauser chambered in 7mm Mauser. This rifle appears to be in un-issued condition based on the excellent condition of the wood stock, strong 95% bluing, and outstanding mirror shiny bore. There is some cosmoline residue on the rifle in the bolt and receiver area, barrel bands, rear sight, and floorplate areas. This rifle will need a thorough cleaning to remove all the remaining cosmoline and related stains from this Chilean beauty. The wood stock is a very pretty piece of dark Walnut and appears to be in Very Good condition for its 100+ year life. The “Chilean 1895” Cartouche on the left side of rear stock looks new and is easily identifiable as an 1895 Chilean Mauser. There are 4 other proof marks stamped on the stock of the rifle in addition to the serial numbers that are very legible. There is a small amount of darker stain at the joining of the wood stock and the buttplate. There are a few small scratches in this buttplate area as well. Likely while being stored or shipped in the original manufacturing crates. The buttplate does have some scratches and possibly cosmoline or surface corrosion on it. The sharp lines just behind the rear sight on the handguard indicate this rifle has never been sanded or refinished after leaving the original factory in Germany.
The left side of the main stock has a very clear stamped serial number of D 9950, which is also stamped matching to the rest of the metal parts of the rifle. The receiver, floorplate, trigger group, rear sight, bolt, and the cleaning rod all have the original matching serial numbers of D9950, or 50 for the smaller metal parts. This rifle is truly an all-matching Collector grade Chilean 1895 Mauser.
The bore looks brand new with very strong lands and grooves. It appears this rifle was likely only test fired and has not been fired since leaving the factory in the 1890’s. (see pics).
There are no visible import marks on the rifle.
This rifle is part of a firearms estate that is being liquidated.
I will only ship to the lower 48 states.

This rifle is designated as an antique, so only a driver’s license showing you are at least 21 years of age is required.
No FFL or C&R license is required for transfer.
Make sure it is legal to own this rifle in your state before purchasing.
