Serial #597875, .32 Colt New Police, 2 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Colt Detective Special second issue revolver built in 1951. In excellent condition the barrel, frame and cylinder retain about 90-92% of the original blue and matte finishes with thinning along the barrel and some light scratches and wear along the sides of the top strap with scattered use marks overall. The Colt medallion checkered grips rate excellent and appear to be a later replacement. Mechanically it functions properly with tight lock up and proper indexing. An excellent Colt in a less frequently encountered caliber. FFL or C&R
