Low 6 digit Serial number 162XXX May 1942. Winchester receiver and Winchester marked Bolt. Barrel is a Springfield Armory Nationl Match Barrel and is in new condition. It has been set up as a National Match Rifle in 7.62X51 MM NATO (308). Stock has the wedges in the stock for a tight no movment fit. Has the NM Rear hooded sight and the NM Front sight., which have the proper markings. The front hand guard has the 2 screws to hold it tight. Only found in NM rifles. If your looking for a M1 Garand that has dead on accuracy this is it. It has been sitting in safe for years unfired. Comes withSling, M1 Carry Case marked US. 3 enbloc clips with 24 rounds of M1 ammo. Ammo must ship seperately. Correct Bayonet & Scabbard( not original).
