Description:
This P.38 was produced by Walther in 1944 (ac44 is stamped on the slide. It is in very good (wartime) condition with minimal amounts of holster wear showing on the left side of the handgun. Germany had begun the development of a replacement for the famous P.08 Luger in the late 1920s and that replacement became the P.38. The pistol was finally brought to wartime production levels in 1941. This one was made in 1944 and, while not as rough as later pistols, it shows that even in manufacturing, war is tough on people and production. All-in-all it is a very nice collector piece for WW collectors. 9mm Luger
