Description:
Available for sale is an all matching un-issued or NRA Excellent condition Lee Enfield British 303 rifle.
The left side of receiver is marked “No.4 Mk2 / UF 55 A19795”.
This is one of the last Lee Enfield rifles produced from the Fazakerley factory in 1955.
The reciever, bolt handle, bottom of the magazine, and underside of the forearm stock are all stamped with the serial number A19795. There are other scattered inspection/proof marks on the metal and the stock.
There is still some cosmoline in and around the bolt and receiver area.
This particular stock is a Blondie in that it’s a very light-colored finish from the Fazakerley factory.
The rear sight acts as an aperture sight as well as a ladder sight when it is flipped upwards.
This Enfield No.4 Mk2 was made at the Fazakerley factory in England back in 1955.
The bore is bright and shiny with strong lands and grooves. It’s very likely this rifle has only been test fired from the factory and never fired since then.
There is a lightly stamped import mark on the front of the barrel that reads “CAI ST ALB VT / .303 UK”.
