For sale is my personal Savage Model 99R in the classic .300 Savage
- All original
- The Serial Number is 748420 which was manufactured in the Chicopee Falls factory around 1953-1954
- 24-inch medium weight barrel
- Original factory front and rear sights
- Factory swivel studs
- Bolt has Damascus jeweled finish
- Bluing on the barrel is very good
- Bluing on the receiver and steel butt plate has some wear from good, old fashion, honest use
- Checkered walnut stock is in very good condition, with original finish. It has a few small dents and impressions, but no cracks or chips
- Checkering is still sharp and strong
- Bore is very good and bright and shiny
- Drilled and tapped from the factory for scope mounting
Overall, this is a very nice Model 99R that has spent time in the mountains and filled the freezer with deer and elk, but has been well taken care of.
