This is a 1956-made revolver that has retained nearly all of the original blue finish, with only a few traces of silvering along a handful of the projecting edges. Additionally, only a very mild turn-ring is present on the cylinder, and there is almost no freckling along the sides of the hammer. The checkered walnut Colt medallion grips are original and numbered to the gun on the interior. There are minor handling marks around the butt, and some minor flattening of the points as well. The lock-up is rock solid, and the action functions flawlessly in both single and double-action. This is a little-used, ‘50s Detective Special, and would make a splendid addition to any collection.
