U.S. Model 1917-A1 Tripod & Cradle, tripod was designed to accommodate the extremely heavy, water-cooled .30 caliber M1917-A1 machine gun, manufacturers plaque attached to the rear leg with the following information serial # 192xx, manufactured by McE.Co., dated 1942 and “M.H.B.” inspector markings, showing a very old green OD paint some flaking, surface rust and some chips to paint most likely from fielded use, leather fastening strap is missing, the “M1917A1” cradle with brass traverse and elevation knobs, brass socket, pintle included, super item for your Browning M.1917 Water Cooled machine gun, can be used with a tripod or vehicle mount to support the Browning M.1917-A1 .30 caliber Machine Gun or a U.S. 57mm Recoilless Rifle. The overall condition as described is good plus - very good, can be improved with paint. Inv.: # US 2335
