Description:
M-1 Garand barrel. SA-12-44. Bright bore with no pitting or frosting. ME=3, TE=3. Dark blackish grey Parkerizing. Not import marked. Top of barrel marked D35448-34-Y-185-B--1 along with an ordnance stamp, and 3 tiny letters. Gas port is not chromed but showing shallow erosion around gas port. (See pic.) Parkerizing at about 95% with a typical wear areas consistent with being on a rifle. My understanding these are take off barrels during rebuilding and storage in the 1960s.
