Pre-owned Henry \"Silver Boy\" chambered in 357 mag / 38 special.
This rifle is in good shape, but has some blemishes. There are small scuffs in the reciever, some light scratches on the buttstock and the barrel, and there are some dings on the fore stock. The action is smooth and the bore is clean. Please note, this is an older Henry. Current production Henry rifles are tube fed and side gate load. This rifle is tube fed only. Overall, this is still a beautiful firearm, even with its minor blemishes.
Henry uses a solid aluminum-bronze alloy that’s actually slightly tougher than the long-running hardened brass alloy in their popular brass-framed Big Boy lever actions, and that results in a through & through silver tone. Not a surface treatment that might wear or scratch through with years of use; these frame, barrel band, and buttplate surfaces can be cleaned up and polished at home if needed to maintain that brightly gleaming silver look for generations to come. Aside from the alloy used, the Big Boy Silver is essentially the same gun as the brass Big Boy Classic, with the same 20” octagon barrel, buckhorn/bead sights, drilled and tapped scope option, straight stock wrist, carbine-style buttplate, ten-round magazine capacity, tube magazine loading, transfer bar safety, and 8.68 pound-weight.
