Description:
World War II U.S. Colt Model 1911A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol in .45 ACP. The M1911A1 is an improved version of the original M1911 that entered service in 1926. The U.S. military procured around 2.7 million M1911 and M1911A1 pistols during its service life. The pistol served as the standard-issue sidearm for the United States Armed Forces from 1911 to 1985. The bore condition is good with some light pitting or frosted appearance. Manufactured 1943. It has a "G.H.D." inspected frame. Matching number slide. Barrel marked "COLT 45 AUTO" with "G" on the bottom and "P" on left lug. This pistol is very fine overall with original finish, some handling marks, light spotting on the magazine, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. .45 ACP
