Offered for your consideration is a very high condition Marlin 39 from my private collection. The rifle shows excellent on all wood and metal surfaces and is mechanically perfect also displaying a very good bore. The wood to metal fit is superb exactly as it should, proud against metal. The wood is very lovely lots of different color transitions with burl fancy figured appearance. There is very small hair line splitting in one area of butt and at wrist shown in images (common on burl old wood surfaces) please see. Stock is very tight and strong. This rifle does show the inspector star on tang with also the "S" prefix. Another interesting touch is the Marlin "Rocky Mountain" front sight blade not normally seen on model 39s (factory ordered). Please see images for your own evaluation. The beauty of this item is hard to capture in pictures. She is truly exceptional.
