This is the Model C Olympic falling block rifle manufactured in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts by the Lewis Arms Company circa 1920's. The single shot rifle features a folding Beech type combination front sight, sporting adjustable rear and a flip up tang peep sight. In near excellent condition the barrel and frame retain about 85-90% of the original blue which has a mottled appearance on the barrel toning in areas to plum-brown with some very light impact marks at the outer muzzle. The hammer shows much of the original straw color. The stock is solid with a plugged hole at the wrist and old chips on either side at the metal wood interface and a shallow crack just behind the tang sight and forearm is solid both showing scattered light use marks. The action functions properly. A seldom seen single shot rifle that would add to most collections and be fun to shoot. FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
