Description:
Serial #6048LW, .38 Special, 2 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the first issue, Colt Cobra revolver manufactured in 1951, the second year of production and features a factory shroud over the hammer. In excellent condition the steel barrel and cylinder retain about 90-95% of the original blue finish with thinning around the muzzle and high edges. The alloy frame has about 95-97% finish with some silvering on the edges and several tiny use marks. The plastic colt grips are excellent. It comes in a correct, original Colt cardboard box which has some mild staining and a tear with seam separation along one top side edge. An excellent, early Cobra. FFL or C&R
