Description:
The action on this rifle is a military Mauser Model 98 with double set triggers. The rifle was assembled by an unknown to me gunsmith who really knew how to fit a barrel, get a trigger set correctly and inlet a stock. The action has clean blue and the set trigger has around 1lb of pull. The barrel is 27" with a heavy profile the full length. The barrel is marked .22-250 VAR and there is a proof mark or a stamp that says 33 Nitro. I cannot find a reference for the .33 Nitro marking. The stock is custom walnut with a neat channel on the top of the comb for the bolt to travel through, no chequering, high comb and wide benchrest fore end, The inletting is above average. 13" length of pull. 11lbs 1 oz
