I always strive to go the extra mile to ensure a very satisfying transaction and have an established, trustworthy reputation. I also use GB for listings so if you would like to view my feedback, you can look me up in Advanced Search under Warthog-Arms. My current rating there is A+(160). Description: For your consideration is a highly desirable Mauser C96 “Broomhandle” Red 9 pistol, Prussian Contract. It comes complete with numbered, non-matching stock, 1917 dated leather harness/carrier with follower spring in pouch, original cleaning rod and 2 stripper clips. Serial number 104657 indicates this pistol was manufactured circa 1917. Some distinguishing characteristics of most Red 9’s:
All numbers match, with a full serial number or last few digits on bolt, bolt stop, hammer, subframe and back of frame. Disassembly shows matching numbers including both grips, floor plate, disconnector, and bolt locking block. Condition: Pistol - VG+ condition, original finish with minor edge and holster wear in contact areas under barrel, side projections of barrel extension, muzzle, and forward projection of magazine well. Both grips have full matching serial numbers with carved red 9 and are in great condition, with no cracks or chips. Harness/Carrier - VG+ condition, intact with pliable leather and tight stitching. It is marked "L. Ritgen – Karlsruhe - 1917". All the fasteners/straps are present and functional. Includes an original spare follower spring and cleaning rod. Also 2 stripper clips (ammo not included). Stock - VG+ condition, there are no cracks or splits. Iron is numbered 943. Hardware is in very good original condition with some minor corrosion on hinge plates. There is no Imperial proof mark, indicating this is a period correct commercial stock. Mechanics - Excellent condition, the bore is nearly perfect, mirror bright with sharp rifling. Mechanically functions well as designed. I did not fire this pistol but cycled 10 rounds through it with no issues. A beautiful, complete rig whose pistol is marked with the desirable Prussian Eagle on front mag well, as well as original Red 9 grips.
