Description:
Merkel "Bockbuchflinte" (over/under rifle) model 2011D: self-cocking, boxlock system. Breech: Kersten breech. Single trigger. With ejectors, and a selector to change between shotgun and rifle. Very stiff action; rifle has never been fired outside of the factory to the best of my knowledge. Safety: trigger safety by manual operation of the safety slide on the butt neck. Selector switch on the inside of the trigger guard. Barrel length 28 inches, clear, sharp and clean. Heavy coin engraving with arabesques of red fox, and fowl. Caliber in 12/76 (lower barrel) & the reliable 8x57IRS (upper barrel). Manfactured in 2010. 99% condition. Weapon was designed and built as a custom rifle, with a build cost of $8500~ several years ago. Comes with original box. More photos & details availble on request.
Acquired by me while stationed in Germany several years ago; getting rid of my collection now. Weapon will be shipped inside the original box. Shipping will be $150~ (depending on buyer's location) from my FFL to yours. Will arrange for local pickup if so desired in Tulsa, OK/NW Arkansas area.
