I'm honored to offer this incredible piece of US Fighting Knife History. For your consideration is a Randall Made (Orlando Forged) Model #14 Attack with sawback blade. Large rivet, splitback sheath. Thick brass hilt, micarta scales. This knife was made in 1965 and ordered by USMC Major John "Jack" W. Gallagher.
Major Gallagher was deployed as a flight squadron leader of VMA 311 flying A-4 Skyhawks. His A-4 crashed during a return landing at Da Nang after a sorte against enemy targets along the DMZ. He was killed in this crash.
