Description:
32" SxS damascus barrels with smooth concave rib, cashardened breeches with platinum blow hole plugs and brass-tipped rosewood ramrod retained with two thimbles. 14 1/2" pull from front trigger to smooth polished and fireblued steel buttplate with extended, engraved top tang. Figured English walnut stock with pineapple-finial ramrod guide, crosspin barrel fastener, pineapple-finial triggerplate, large-bow engraved triggerguard with long tang and vacant silver initial oval. Peninsular sidelock action with half-cock safeties. Casehardened standing breech with percussion fences. Weight: 10lbs, 5oz. In elaborate oak case with innumerable accessories and inside an all-leather overcase, embossed: Charles Gordon, ESQ.  Pictured in Dallas' Charles --- Gordon Magnificent Obsession, p67. Ordered August 17, 1893 and listed in Dallas, page 34. Virtually new condition.
