Description:
This is a very nice, large bowie knife sheath. It holds a bowie knife approximately 10 3/4 inches long and 1 5/8 inches wide. It comes down to a spear point. The last picture shows the knife that was originally in it. The knife, fortunately not in the sheath, was stolen. The blade was very thick. The stitching on this sheath is still very good. The belt loop appears to have been made for a little over a 2 inch belt. It has some pretty large cracks in the leather, especially in the belt loop but there is no danger of it coming apart. I believe at some time it was treated with some kind of leather conditioner but I cannot say for sure because I do not know. It has several brass rivets so the blade cannot cut through the stitching. This is a great sheath but I no longer have a knife for it. The reason I cut the knife picture down is I only had this one picture and it was originally pictured with two Dragoons, so I cut them out.
