Ruger® Super Redhawk Alaskan® Double-Action Revolver provides maximum protection against large, powerful creatures while still having a reasonable sized sidearm that is manageable to carry all day in a hip holster. The Ruger Super Redhawk is designed with an extended frame that provides extra metal on the top strap, sidewalls, and barrel mounting areas to handle powerful big game loads. To withstand heavy recoil, the triple-locking cylinder is locked into the frame at the front, rear, and bottom so it stays aligned without getting sloppy over time. The angle of the Super Redhawk's peg-style grip frame, and the recoil cushioning Hogue® Tamer® Monogrip®, greatly absorb recoil and allow the shooter to stay on target for follow-up shots, while firing the revolver in double-action mode. Stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance, and low maintenance in wilderness areas. The Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan is a perfect sidearm to carry for bear protection while fishing, camping, or backpacking in wilderness areas, and is a great back-up gun to have along when hunting either small or big game.
