December 1942 Production Colt 1911A1 SN# 856xxx. By this time Col. Waldmar Broberg (WB) was the final inspector for Springfield Armory and 1911A1 production at Colt's. Col Guy H. Drewry took his place in late December 1942. You will rarely find a Colt 1942 Production that has the GHD final inspection.
The pistol itself is in amazing and un-touched condition. Numbers Matching slide and frame. Another interesting Production aspect of this pistol is that it bears it's original barrel, an "S" marked barrel that was originally for Colts commercial sales in their Government Model.
