Description:
Chicago Mnufacturing that made the Famous Chicago Palm Pistol also Manufactured Shotguns This is a Model "A" Riot gun with U.S. markings.
The upper left side of the Reciever is Marked with a U.S. with an Ordnance Bomb that appears to be very similar to that found on the right side of a first world war Winchester Model 97 Trench gun. There is also an Ordnance Bomb on the top pof the Barrel just forward of the reciever ring. It  is a take down that once you get used to it is fairly simple.. The right side of the stock is Stamped  U.S. over H  over 1898 With what appears to Be a circle with the number 31 in it (to my old eyes ). The Barrel is 18 3/8 inches with a Brass Bead front sight. The metal is fairly evenly Plumbed to Brown with some fairly light edgewear that that is more pronounced on the mag tube from the action working. The wood is in good Plus condition with a couple of minor (old) nicks in the stock and what appears to old allenhead screw where a sling swivel might go. The hard Rubber Butt plate has a small chip on the top and is otherwise solid. The Bore is in good condition and fairly Bright. The Action works well and Has slamfire like most pumps of the day. I shot a couple of Paper shells and it works well. It is a Very unique old riot gun that try as I might I was not able to come up with any History on. It may have been some sort of small Government Purchase or sopmeone may have just had fun with it many years ago. Worst case scenerio is it would make a great self defense gun that would fit nicely in the corner of a gun room.   $500- OBO  Shipping is a Flat $50-
