Description:
Perazzi MX-8 in 12 gauge, two barrel combo set with custom wood by Dockwiller. Dockwiller custom stocks are highly sought after representing the pinnacle of stock makers art. Highly figured wood with two forends. This wood was made for this gun in 1977 and is serialized on the butt stock (see last photo). Trademark Dockwiller grip cap and over the top checkering. Aftermarket tasteful engraving on the top lever, forend iron and barrels. Type 3 forend irons. Receiver has a high level of original case color. All matching serial numbers on metal and wood (removable trigger group does not have a serial number). The OU barrels are 30" with .729 bores and 24/1000 choke (Imp Mod) in the under barrel while the top barrel is 33/000 choke (Full). OU barrels are stamped 1.6 KG. The top single barrel is .32" with 744 bore and 30/1000 choke (Fiull). The weight of the single barrel is 1.62 KG. All barrels have forcing cones lengthened and are ported. All ribs are 11mm x 11mm. Top lever is well right of center and the gun is tight on face. All ribs are tight. No cracks to the wood. Cast is neutral. Measurements were taken off the OU barrels. LOP is 14 5/8". Drop at comb - 1 3/8". Drop at rear of Monte Carlo - 1 3/8". Drop at heel - 2 1/32". Includes a lightweight aluminum case (10 LBS 12 OZ empty) that houses barrels and forends separately. Weight of the gun with the 30" barrels is 8 LBS 1 7/8 OZ. Weight with the 32" top single is 8 LBS 9 5/8 OZ. Shipping and insurance is $100.
