This rifle is not only in the sought after 35 Remington caliber but is also configured in the Carbine Model which makes for the extra rarity. The Carbine is produced with a 20" round barrel. The rifle has it's original hooded front sight and rear half moon sight. This Model 70 Carbine was made in 1948 with the numbers matching bolt. Original factory drilled and tapped. This Model 70 is a nice true example with honest bluing wear on the butt plate, floor plate, and muzzle. The hand checkered stock and forearm have normal handling marks for the age but no cracks or major dents. The bore is crisp with strong rifling. A must have addition to any Winchester Collector.
