"This is an unusual dealer casing of a Colt 1849 Pocket and a Colt 1855 Root. Both guns are made in 1855 and are in very similar condition. The case has brass bound corners which is a deluxe feature. The interior is period and has all of the proper accessories. Colt 1849 Pocket: Serial number 103372. Made in 1855. 31 caliber with a 5" barrel. This is a very fine sharp gun with approximately 40% of the original blue on the barrel that has toned. Almost all of the case colors still remain on the frame. The grips are very good with most of the original varnish. Ther is a chip on the left hand side of the grips. Approximately 50% of the silver remains on the trigger guard and back strap. Colt 1855 Root: Serial number 3571. Made in 1855. 31 caliber with a 3.5" barrel. This gun has approximately 50% of the original blue with excellent grips.
