Documented Winchester Model 1876Cal 45-60 with 28" Octagon Bbl, Blue finished with case color hammer and lever. Known as the Centennial Rifle and made famous by Tom Horn and others. The large frame lever action was the most powerful repeater of its day. Mfd, 1886. Blade font sight with ladder adjustable "1876" marked rear sight. Varnished walnut stocks with crescent butt plate with trap for cleaning rods. Condition, Very fine with over 50% real blue finish remaining with balance having toned to patina. Bore is very good with strong rifling and some roughness. Mechanically excellent. Stocks are very good with an abundance of original varnish. Factory letter confirms configuration and shipment date of Oct,6 1886 . Letter included.
