Description:
Winchester Model 60A bolt action rifle, single shot .22 short, long or long rifle, 23" round barrel (sporter version), blued finish with factory chrome bolt, 2nd variation with grooved walnut forward section of the one piece walnut stock, plain trigger, plain pistol grip, take down screw on bottom of receiver, open sights, hard rubber Winchester logo butt plate. Scarce rifle as only 6,000 were made between 1932 and 1935 before being supplanted by the Model 69.
Condition: Barrel and receiver retain 90% original blue drifted to plum with some very light surface flecking that should clean off, looks better in hand than in the photos. Stock shows a few light nicks and scratches. No damage to butt plate. Action funtions properly (smooth bolt, locks solidly when cocked). The markings are super sharp and crisp. Bore is a 9.75 of 10, brilliantly bright and shiny with absolutely no pitting or wear. This rifle was taken care of very well over the last 90 years and should remain in that condition with proper handling. A valuable piece of Winchester firearm history.
