Synopsis: Mauser C96, Prewar Commercial, Matching Stock, 199456, FB01335 Description: Very attractive Mauser C96 Prewar Commercial Broomhandle in high condition with matching stock in modern presentation/attache case with stripper clips, 6 ammo boxes and reproduction cleaning rod. The pistols a standard configuration prewar commercial with 5.5” barrel having fixed front sight and slip-in 50-1000 rear sight. Short extractor and correct hollow head safety. Top of chamber marked with three line Mauser address. Full serial number on left side of barrel extension. Crown/C/U on left chamber flat. Right side of frame with two line Mauser address. Finely serrated grips. Original lanyard ring present. Factory matching shoulder stock, modern presentation/attache case covered in canvas with leather reinforcements and brass hardware. Complete with three stripper clips and 6 boxes of 7.63 Mauser pistol ammo. LIVE AMMUNITION FOR PICTURE PURPOSE ONLY. NOT INCLUDED IN SALE. Condition: The pistol is near EXC with 97% bright original salt blue, scattered areas of thinning largely under barrel, crest of rails, and usual contact spots. Comparable thinning of fireblued parts, particularly over extractor, cursor, and bolt stop. Rear of subframe lightly cleaned. Light varnish added to grips that do not appear to have been sanded. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. VG stock with oil stains and scattered handling marks. Hardware with oxidative browning as carefully imaged.
