Here we have a nice, high condition Ithaca Model 1911A1 SN# 1868209 From The Ithaca Shipping Records this pistol was sent to Benicia Ordnance Depot - Army Pont, California on August 29th 1944 in a shipment of 3K pistols.
This 1911A1 retains all of its original parts including its factory Flannery "F" Barrel with matching wear patterns. No ring Keyes Fiber Grips are also original and pop up from time to time in this SN# range. Bore is bright and clean. No visible pitting at all.
I purchased this pistol from an individual who said it belonged to his father, who was a artilery officer in the Philippines. Buy the gun, not the story, but felt its important to pass that along. Original magazine marked "L"
