Winchester 1876 serial 25xx. Early opentop with rail added at customers request. 45-75 as all first were.
For 150 year old gun. She's in good condition with some original blue left. Don't see finish on many 1st Models or 2nd either. Action is strong. Has original 1876 sight.
Bore is 5-6. Wood is good with scars of a 150 year old. Not cracked or broke. That's a miracle in itself.
It was returned. Probably lid added and swivels.
these early letters weren't very specific of work done.
I don't mind offers. I like trades. If it's something antique that I like. Any of the old antique investments are good.
