Here we have a Batty Peace Flask dated 1853 and inspected by A.D. King, who also inspected Colt 3rd Model Dragoons, Colt M1851 Colt M1861 and Starr Revolvers, Ames M1840 Heavy Dragoon Sabers, from 1850-1865. Diameter of the spout at the base is 11/16" and at the opening is 7/16" with the spout measuring 1 7/8" long at its shortest adjustment - there are 3 notches and a set screw that allow for the lengthening of the spout. The collar diameter is 1 1/2". The body measures 7 3/4" from the bottom to the top of the collar. The two strap rings have outside diameters of 15/16" and inside diameters of 11/16". The spring is good and opens the flange perfectly. Very nice, undamaged, fully functioning, original (not reproduction) Peace Flask to enhance your collection of Pre Civil War and Civil War firearms.
