About Us: I have collected for 50 years…it's time to pass my collection to a new group of custodians. I always collected the best I could afford of a particular firearm I was interested in at the time. Having said that, most of my collection are common firearms in the Colt, Smith & Wesson, Winchester, Remington as well as other well known American manufacturing . I have revolvers, pistols (Semi-Auto for the newer crowd) Bolt rifles, both big bore and rimfire, Sporting rifles as well as Target some nice Military rifles, mid century shotguns and some odd-ball collectibles as well. No One of One Thousand, but good solid well conditioned firearms. All are functional (unless noted) and most I have fired.
Description:
A high condition (new or near new with the original box and with the serial number noted in pencil on the bottom as was Colt’s practice) and is a very well-kept Wartime Colt, This Official Police show no handling marks. Colt's shows a 1943 manufacturing date.
Action is smooth with a clean release, timing is perfect. No impact marks to the recoil shield, and is clean and bright. Box is not perfect, but matches firearm
The barrel shows bright with deep lands and grooves, the cylinders are clean and bright.
Colt checkered medallion grips are excellent, no flattened points, or damage.
A very fine example that will make an excellent addition to any Colt collection.
