Toplevers and ribs numbered '1' and '2' in gold, the treble-grip action-bodies with foliate-scroll engraving and game-scenes of grouse and pheasants, the highly-figured
stocks (No. 1 with a crack through the right horn and with a chip just rear of the top tang, No.2 cracked
through both horns and near the rear of the lower tang) with chequered side-fillets, horn-inset drop-
points and engraved heel-and-toe plates, the barrels with indistinctly engraved
game-ribs
