This is a very handsome rifle that retains 92-95% of the original blue finish, with some silvering along the high and exposed edges, as well as some gray fading on the bearing surfaces of the matching numbered bolt, and some plum-brown fading on the trigger guard bow. A US importer marking is present on the left side of the receiver ring, and the original front and rear volley sights are still present. The unmarked walnut stock and handguards are in fine-near excellent shape with only minor handling marks scattered about, and all of the markings are crisp and clear. The This is a splendid example of a little-used Pattern ‘14 rifle that is in fine-near excellent condition. It would make a great addition to any collection. FFL or C&R; SOLD |
