This M39 is chambered in 7.62X54mmR. Receiver is stamped "SK.Y" and "1944." "SA" is stamped on receiver. The 1944 is the rarest of the SK.Y M39s. This rifle has aHV dimpled mag. Newer type rear sight. Finn arsenal plug repair in buttstock. Wartime stock new CG (no SKY) web/leather combo sling added.
This SK.YM39 is in as new condition as we have ever seen for an M39. Bluing, wood, and bore are excellent. M39 2-stage trigger has crisp letoff. This rifle comes from a known collection and is unfired since importation.
We have measured the muzzle with a CMP .308 muzzle gauge. With this gauge, the muzzle measures below a 0. Given that this gauge is designed for slightly smaller bore measurement than 7.62 X 54 R, it would clearly indicate a very excellent muzzle measurement.
Matching numbers on bolt knob and receiver. Stock has wartime rounded 2-piece Finn splice. Small import stamp seen between front sight and stock on top of barrel.
