The s/n of this carbine traces to late 1944. Liked by those that actually used them, the M1 Carbine was a surprisingly effective little rifle, being easy to carry, easy to shoot, and having fast reloads with the detachable 15-round magazines. The enemies that faced it, would grab one whenever they could as one of the best weapons of WWII. This one is in great shooter shape, and would make a great addition to any collection as well. .30 Carbine
