Description:
Scarce 22 inch rapid taper lightweight barrel chambered in caliber 30 WCF caliber. Mint bore that is bright and shiny. Original sights include a Beachs Combination front with a sporting rear sight and folding tang peep sight. Overall metal is very good with about 75% of the blue remaining. Slightly worn around the take down ring. Hammer and lever retain a good amount of case colors. Crisp action. Wood is in excellent condition with nice figure and sharp "H" style checkering on the forearm and pistolgrip. Hard rubber buttplate. According to ARMAX Cody Firearms Museum records only 2,252 had 22 inch barrels. This is just a beautiful 1894 Short Rifle that would be hard to improve upon.
