The Glock 47 Gen 5 is a relatively new addition to Glock‚‚s lineup, introduced in 2019 primarily for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). It was initially exclusive to law enforcement but later became available to the civilian market.

Developed as part of a contract for CBP, along with the Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS and Glock 26 Gen 5.
Designed to be modular, allowing for parts compatibility with the Glock 19 Gen 5 and Glock 17 Gen 5.
