ONE OF THE VERY LAST OF THE COLT PRE-WAR MODEL 1908 .25 ACP VEST POCKET AUTOS, #408XXX, MADE 1940-1941. Serial numbers in the last year of production in 1942 began at only a few hundred higher than this one before production ceased for World War II. This is a very fine example that retains nearly all the original blue with only some light scuffs/edge wear. Excellent case colors on the trigger, magazine is marked "CAL .25 COLT" and functions perfectly. Sharp markings, fine checkered walnut grips with Colt medallions that show some light wear mostly to the checkering on the high portions of the right side. These late production 1908s with checkered walnut grips have a great look, feel and appeal.
