Antique J. Purdey & Sons 12 ga self Opening Sidelock Non-Ejector Mfd 1884. Sleeved Nito proved Bbls 2 1/2" chambers choked Mod & IC with top rib marked " J. PURDEY & SONS AUDLEY HOUSE AUDLEY STREET LONDON". 7 pin side lock marked J.PURDEY & SONS at bottom and extensively scroll engraved. Double trigger with lifter extractors. Fitted with nicely figured oil-finished walnut stock 15" LOP. 1 5/8" 2 3/8" DAH. Factory ledger indicates gun was shipped Oct, 1884. Condition, Extremely fine as restored, The Engraving on underside is soft, Wood and all finishes are excellent. Mechanically Fine
