The Browning Superposed is one of John Browning’s most brilliant designs.  Produced in plain-Jane field grades to the most elaborately engraved and finely stocked shotguns ever seen, production of the Browning Superposed was done in Belgium, running strong from 1931 through 1977 when traditional production stopped.   In 1969 Browning introduced the Superposed “SUPERLIGHT” in the 20ga. and finally was born a true upland bird gun.  A typical Browning Lightning model in 20ga. weighs about 6 1/2lbs.  At 5lbs. 15oz. and balanced perfectly on the hinge pin, this 20 bore Superlight is over 1/2lb. lighter!  This is a dynamic upland bird gun, with its straight hand stock, rounded frame, and slim field style forend that can be carried all day without fatigue.  This fine Superposed, sn1308 V72, was created by Angelo Bee and his team of ex-FN factory employees.  Angelo Bee is a world-renowned engraver, known first as a Belgium Browning engraver and now as a custom gun engraver from Southern California.  Vintage Firearms is privileged to offer one of Angelo’s creations in this Diana Grade Superlight.  Angelo utilizes past FN/Browning employees for the creation of these masterpieces, so these are true Browning with some of the work done in Belgium, some in Angelo’s shop in California.  With only 81 20 ga. Diana Grade Superlights produced by Browning, owning a Superposed of this quality would be near impossible if it weren’t for Angelo.  Best of all, Angelo guns have all the best options and the finest workmanship.  Angelo’s work will continue to be highly desirable and increase in value, ranking as a quality investment vessel for your estate.  This gun is as new in all ways with 99% plus metal and wood finishes.  The Vintage Firearms team has gone over every aspect of this gun and it is mechanically excellent in all ways and comes with a 30-day mechanical warranty.  The wood on the gun is gorgeous highly figured French walnut with strong fiddleback throughout the stock.  Checkering is as new, wood-to-metal fit and screws are perfect…there is nothing not to love about this gun.  The 26 3/8” barrels have perfect bores, choked IC/M with 3” chambers.  The stock is longer than the factory offerings at 14 7/8” LOP.  See specifications below.  If you ever see one of the rare factory original Diana Grade Superlight guns in 20ga. for sale it will be close to $30,000 and out of range for most buyers.  Here we offer essentially the same gun for almost ½ the price.  Gorgeous to look at, light and dynamic, and a proven, reliable design that will only go up in value as you enjoy its use.  Thanks for looking!
