Description:
This SAKO M39 has a 1941 DOM. The [SA] stamp is located along the left side of receiver. We find this rifle to be numbers matching with the receiver, bolt knob, and floor plate. Buttplate is unnumbered. Features of this rifle include its rare staright stock, VKT bolt head, and [SA] T full leather sling.
The straight stock has no splits or cracks. Beautifully figured birch wood stock. It is wartime 2-piece Finn-spliced. SAKO gear wheel and S cross-cannon cartouches found on the right side of buttstock. Import marks located on bottom of barrel near muzzle.
The bolt is filled with original vintage storage grease, as is the action. This rifle is part of a larger collection, and its owner dealt directly with the importers. We are aware that this rifle has never been fired since importation.
Bore is shiny and bright, not counter-bored. Our muzzle was measured with a .308 CMP Muzzle Gauge and found to be a "2."
