EXCELLENT CONDITION AND SUPER RARE MODEL 54 BOLT ACTION RIFLE IN .30WCF (.30-30) CALIBER, #23XXX, MADE 1929. This unusual chambering for a bolt action was only offered from 1928-1930 and obviously made in very limited numbers. It is especially hard to find this model in unaltered condition in any caliber. Many, if not most, have been altered with extra scope mounting screw holes, recoil pads etc.. This example is unaltered and retains nearly all the factory blue with only some minor blue wear scuffs on the barrel and a touch on the bottom of the trigger guard and floor plate with some lightly thinning blue on the bolt. It retains the original buckhorn rear sight with ramped front sight. All markings are sharp and clear, action is tight and bore is bright and excellent. Stock is also excellent with only light handling marks and fine checkering. Serated steel butt plate, sling and swivels all in great shape. A very tough Winchester model to find, especially on .30 WCF. Made the year of the Great Stock Market Crash!
