Description: This is a SUPER RARE & HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE variant of the STAINLESS-STEEL Colt model "SF-VI" (specifically model# SF1040) revolver chambered in .38 Special. This SF-VI features a 4-INCH BARREL and BEAD BLASTED MATTE FINISH and is VERY, VERY RARE! Only Colt knows how many were made, but production was extremely low! It's hard to assign a value to something so rare, because they almost never come up for sale! It's harder to find than a Colt SF-VI "Special Lady"! Rest assured, that Colt collectors are actively huntin for the few of these that exist! Colt introduced a new series of STAINLESS-STEEL small frame revolvers in 1995 to replace the last of the old "D" frame models. This new gun was essentially a scaled down Colt King Cobra. It was given the catchy name "Colt SF-VI" meant to mean "Colt Small Frame Six-Shot" although Colt didn't use that name. The SF-VI had what was possibly the lightest double action trigger ever used on a production revolver! Grips were copies of the rubber Pachmayr "Compac" grips and came with gold or silver Colt medallions. The SF-VI was only offered in a BEAD BLASTED MATTE FINISH for a short while! Most SF-VI revolvers have a satin stainless or bright polish finish. The Colt SF-VI was manufactured from 1995 to 1996. Most were snub nose revolvers with a 2-inch barrel. Colt only manufactured a few 3-inch barrel variants. 4-inch barrel variants like this are truly rare! This Colt revolver includes box and owner's manual. The box does not have a label on it, but appears to be original. This 30-year old Colt model "SF-VI" (SF1040) revolver is in VERY GOOD condition with minimal handling marks. Verify the condition of the gun for yourself with the pictures provided. It appears to have a very low round count. The lockup is tight. For More Information, please search the internet for:
