Cased Westley Richards 48 caliber / .40Bore percussion single shot rifle. Circa 1855 with damascus patterned octagon barrel marked on top flat " WESTLET RICHARDS 170 NEW BOND ST, LONDON". Small blade front sight with 2 blade express rear sight. Platium blow out plug with case colored percussion lock with scroll engraveing and Westley Richards in script. Ouil finished walnut stock with blue steel finished furniture. Housed in partitioned walnut English case with wool lining. Condition, rifle is fully restored with new finishes. Strong bore and mechanically fine. Some small amount of wood loss is evident forward or lock.
