Description:
Very early cartridge side lever break, tight action. Heavy Damascus barrels shorteded to 18 3/4". Forearm is pin fastened. Lock plates, hammers and trigger guard feature fine quality engraving. Walnut stock and forearm have old shellac coating turned very dark. Bores are fairly clean with no deep pitting. All iron and barrels were finished bright with no pitting. Mechanically excellent showing much use with black powder. Would have been used on a horse drawn carriage.
