Description:
Very nice Carcano/Arisaka Type I rifle. The Type I (as in Italian) was a hybrid Carcano action fitted to an Arisaka/Mauser style magazine and furniture, and is chambered for the 6.5 Japanese round. It is styled similar to a Type 38 Arisaka. These were built at the request of the Japanese government in 1938-39 to meet demands that could not be kept up domestically during and after the Japanese invasion of China. 31.5" barrel with a decent bore. Good rifling, but the finish is a little dull. Still very shootable. Serial number J42

Shipping, handling and insurance varies on each firearm from $40.00 to $80.00 depending size, weight and zip code. To be determined after sale.
